Bangladesh Photographic Society (BPS) is a leading organization of the photographers of Bangladesh. It was founded in 1976 by few Bangladeshi senior photographers to organize the Country's professional and amateur photographers in one platform and work for the prosperous of its arena. Bangladesh Photographic Society is an active member of The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
BPS members have achieved more than eleven hundred precious awards from the international photographic competitions. Every year it organizes National Photographic Contest and Exhibition collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. BPS has an education wing called “Bangladesh Photographic Institute”.
It provides Basic Photography Course and Workshops on various photographic topics. More than 3,500 photographers have linkage with this Organization. Currently, Mohammad Mujibur Rahman is the President of Bangladesh Photographic Society (BPS).
