Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) is a project of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, set up on 31st October 2002 to promote diversification of jute products in the country. The Head Office of JDPC project is located in the premises of the International Jute Study Group (IJSG) in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has Six (6) sub-offices in the name of Jute Entrepreneurs Services Centre (JESC) in – Dhaka, Chittagong, Jessore, Narsigndi, Tangail, and Rangpur.
Jute Diversification Promotion Centre works phase by phase putting forward some objectives and goals. Its First Phase started in March 2002 which completed in December 2007. The following or Second Phase completed in December 2012. At present, JDPC’s Phase III is going on which started on 1st January 2013.
Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) is run by a Steering Committee consist of 20-member. The Head of this Committee is the Secretary of Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Government of Bangladesh. Apparently, the Ministry of Textiles and Jute guides, supports, and monitors whole the activities of JDPC.
