Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) is a non-profit government organization established on May 2, 1990 to provide funds/loans to its POs (that's to provide funds/loans to the various government/non-government/semi-government organizations, local government bodies, institutions, voluntary agencies and societies, groups and individuals) with a view to helping the impoverished people (who have no land or any credible material possession) so that they can overcome the barrier of poverty, enhancement the livelihood, and become self-employed.
PKSF is registered under the Companies Act 1913/1994. Since its establishment in 1990, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation has been involved in diversified operations. It also provides education, training, financing, awareness building, healthcare, equal opportunities and access to resources for all.
PKSF has a General Body consists of 15 members, and a Governing Body comprising of 7 members. The Managing Director, who is also a member of the Governing Body, is highly responsible to carry out the functions and implementations of the programmes of PKSF within set rules and deadlines. Thus, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation is the leading apex microcredit and capacity development organization in Bangladesh. Currently, the Chairman of the PKSF is Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, the renowned economist.
