A K Khan Foundation (AKKF) is a non-profit Social Welfare Organization which was established on 31st March 1991 by late Mr. Abul Kashem Khan (A K Khan), the Founder Chairman of A.K. Khan Group, and a prominent industrialist in Bangladesh. The Foundation was born as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of A.K. Khan & Company Ltd. Through the Foundation, A.K. Khan Group spend its 30% business profits in different types of philanthropic activities like health, education, social welfare and more. At present, apart from humanitarian activities, A.K. Khan Foundation (AKKF) also contributes in various government and non-government initiatives, and sustainable social development projects and activities. The Foundation provides its helping hand in humanitarian programs/projects in Chittagong and across the country. Mr. A.K. Shamsuddin Khan is the Chairman of Executive Committee of A. K. Khan Foundation.
