Bangladesh Sugar & Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Industries, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. BSFIC was born on July 1, 1976 by merging two separate Corporations Bangladesh Sugar Mills Corporation (BSMC) and Bangladesh Food & Allied Industries Corporation (BFAIC).
At present, there are seventeen (17) sugar mills are incorporated under BSFIC. These mills produce a wide range of sugar and relevant products in the country. BSFIC keeps maximize production and maintain stable price of sugar in Bangladesh. It also takes steps to make the mills as well-flourished.
Currently, Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation employs 13580 people as officers, staff and workers. The affairs of this corporation are managed by a Board of Directors comprising a Chairman and five Directors – (1) Finance, (2) Marketing, (3) Production & Engineering, (4) Planning & Development, and (5) Cane Development & Research.
