Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA) is a non-profit, non-partisan and independent institution in South Asia providing and promoting advanced research in law and international affairs. Since 1972, BILIA has been recognized as the oldest think tank of Civil Society, research and training centre in Bangladesh. Based in Dhaka, BILIA is a renowned platform of strategic thinkers, lawyers, diplomats, bureaucrats, defence observers, economists, journalists, academics, policy analysts, foreign affairs analysts, the military and the civil society.
Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs mainly focus on South and Southeast Asian regional security and strategic issues and legal issues, particularly Bangladesh. The Institute gives stress on the issues like law, international politics, democratic governance, economics, human rights, peace & security, regional studies, and jurisprudence. Focusing on above mention issues, BILIA tries to find out solution(s) through studies, independent analysis, research, dialogue etc to build a prosperous and secure South Asia, in broad a peaceful & secure world, in specific a prosperous and secure Bangladesh.
